Curved wooden FrameWe recently worked with a local builders who were restoring a Victorian House. In the house was a large curved frame window, which over time had become rotten and had collapsed. In line with the customers wishes, we restored all original parts where possible. We took out the wood which could not be restored and replaced this with Sapele hardwood, to match the original sound wood. The replacement wood should now last for 30 to 40 years.
Wooden Garage Doors Here is a pair of wooden garage doors we recently renovated, on an outbuilding to a large property. We restored the four door stiles. Only the bottom five inches of the doors were rotten, so we cut and spliced the rotten wood and replaced this with Supele hardwood, taking care to ensure the joints were not visible. We also replaced all tongue and grooved boarding on both doors. In accordance with the customers instructions, we renovated the doors at a fraction of the price it would have cost to replace them. Included in the price was the removal of the old doors, we then boarded up the area to keep it secure, the renovation work was completed at our factory, then the doors were primed white and re-fitted into the opening.
